I know that part of what I’m doing is probably avoiding doing something I don’t like doing. I don’t know anyone who loves going through each and every of their belongings and deciding what goes and what gets packed. I know that with the coming move, I’m going to need to. So, if I’m going to be avoiding doing the work that I REALLY need to, I’ll be doing it with something worthwhile!
Tuesday, I went to the Sandy Puc Tour with Jerry Ghionis (great seminar!). I’m sure many of you (unless you’re in the industry too) haven’t heard of either of them, but they are simply amazing… not only amazing photographers, but also amazing teachers and amazing human beings. I decided that I was going to get the attention of Mrs Ghionis, (who is as amazing as her husband). Every break I played groupie and hung out at the booth near her, chatting with her when she was free. I felt like a creepy stalker doing it, but let her know she could shoo me away at any time.
Yesterday and today I’ve been watching the latest creativeLIVE seminar with Jasmine Star. She’s another of the photographers that I really look up to… With her (for me) it’s not about her photography itself, but that her marketing revolves around HER. Her personality is her brand. That’s what I’m looking to do with my work. I want people that I work with to not only like my work, but to also feel a connection with ME. I want the experience of freedom that i live for to be part of what comes through as I work with my clients.
