This weekend, I got together with Serenity to do a photo shoot for Culture Asylum Magazine. Silly little me, as usual, was nervous. I met with her and her fiance and we went out into Philadelphia to find some fabulous locations to make some beautiful images.
Her honey found some knew of a couple great places. He was also a good helper, and a cool guy. (I was really concerned as sometimes having a significant other there for the shoot can be … stressing.) I loved getting to meet them both, and would love to work with them again.
So, Hubby and I went up to pick them up and brought her to the home of Elizabeth, who was our makeup artist for the shoot. While Serenity’s makeup was being done, I was getting to play with Elizabeth’s puppy, (cutest little thing… my word!)… When I finally saw her, (we were in the same room, but that puppy was distracting), there was a WOW factor! Working with a professional make-up artist is simply the bee’s knees and every woman should experience it at least once! Afterward, he headed our into the city. We decided to stop first at this cute little walled in cemetery. It had beautiful flowers blooming, and cute little pathways. We ended up spending a couple minutes chatting with the gentleman that lived there which I assume is a watchman. (We did ask him if he’d experienced anything spooky there, and he said he hadn’t, though there have been several paranormal groups that have come out.)
We then went looking for another place to shoot. We decided to check out an abandon building. The guys went and talked to the gent that was “living” there. They made arrangements with him to use the space for a cigarette, (possession is 9/10s of the law right?). Coolest place!! OMG! I can’t even describe. Had a couple moments of thinking the guys were trying to kill us… but we survived and have beautiful pictures to prove it.
